Knox Marine Consultants is a marine survey firm specializing in damage survey and investigation. The company has three surveyors in two offices:

Our three surveyors have almost one hundred years combined marine experience, and almost fifty years combined surveying experience. Knox Marine provides damage survey services throughout Virginia and North Carolina. With Bill Patterson taking more of the damage survey workload in central Virginia, Steve Knox has been more available to travel to large claim assignments in other parts of the country and devote more of his time to expert assignments for attorneys.

Steve Knox, the company president and principal surveyor, investigates boating accidents throughout the eastern United States. He also provides expert assistance in cases involving the construction or repair of pleasure boats, such as warranty claims. Steve, a long time marine surveyor, is a licensed Professional Engineer. He is one of about a dozen marine surveyors in the country certified as an Accredited Senior Appraiser. He was one of the first Certified Marine Investigators in the country.
